From January 1, 2023, environmental labelling will be mandatory on packaging. Packaging and wrapping are also important in our production and distribution chain: vertical agitators and powder dispensers must also be transported safely and reliably.
The obligation applies to all packaging – primary, secondary and tertiary – from packages to pallets, which – as far as the B2B sector is concerned, i.e. when the packaging does not reach the private individual – must be marked with an alphanumeric code indicating the type of materials used, in accordance with Decision 129/97/ EC.
At PRO-DO-MIX® we have welcomed the new packaging disciplines: the adaptation effort required to implement the regulations is nothing compared to the potential benefits for the environment and clarity. But as is often the case, we have not only complied with the regulations, but have gone further and have also provided voluntary information.
All our packages are marked with the code QR: Framing it will take you to a special page on our website where, in addition to the alphanumeric code, you can see the voluntary information about the type of packaging and its proper disposal in separate collection.
When we were confronted with this possibility, we had no doubts. Making the label even clearer and quicker to consult and fill in has a double advantage: on the one hand, it is an ethical choice for the environmental benefits already mentioned and, on the other, it is a gesture that makes life easier for our customers, as they have all the information they need to collect, dispose of or recycle their packaging just a smartphone away and at their fingertips.
Thanks to this solution, we have achieved the highest rating for environmental communication effectiveness (3 stars) according to the “Vademecum for the use of digital channels for environmental packaging labelling”.

Its internal velocity gradient, constant from the centre to the edge of the blade, allows the positioning of an impeller with large diameter very close to the bottom of the tank.
